How to check the list of courses and the requirements for program completion


You can find the list of courses for each academic year and the requirements for completing each master’s/doctoral program on the web page below (Click to open):

The list of courses

The lists of courses are created for each academic year. The list is divided by course category and by the program that offers the course.

The lists are available on the above mentioned web page (though there are Japanese version only). Select the academic year the course is offered from the pull-down menu at the top right of the screen.
The lists after AY 2020 is divided into two categories: “2020年度以降入学者用 (for students enrolled after AY 2020” and “2019年度以前入学者用 (for students enrolled before AY 2019).” Please select the category that applies to you.
Below is an example of how to choose the category if you want to check the list of courses offered in AY 2021:

  • If you are enrolled in the Degree Programs in Systems and Information Engineering in AY 2020, select: “2021(令和3)年度(2020年度以降入学者用)”
  • If you are enrolled in the Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering in AY 2019, select: “2021(令和3)年度(2019年度以前入学者用)”

Basically, changes occur in the middle of the academic year will not be reflected in these course lists (i.e. the PDF files titled “科目表”). Also, the English version is not provided on the web page.
Therefore, please refer to KdB (Curriculum Scheduling Support System) for the latest course information.

Requirements for program completion

The “Requirements for program completion” is a document that specify the courses and the number of credits required to complete the master’s/doctoral program you belong to.
The document is available on the above mentioned web page. Select your academic year of admission from the pull-down menu at the top right of the screen. The academic year selection screen and the index are in Japanese, but some PDF files titled “履修方法・修了要件” contain the English version of the documents.
For example, select as follows:

  • If you are enrolled in the Degree Programs in Systems and Information Engineering in AY 2020, select: “2020(令和2)年度(2020年度以降入学者用)”
  • If you are enrolled in the Graduate School of Systems and INformation Engineering in AY 2019, select: “2019(令和元)年度”

You can find a list of course for each course category/program on KdB (Curriculum Scheduling Support System) by following the steps below.

1. Click “English” button at the top right of the screen to switch to English version.
2. Enter the academic year in which the courses are offered.
3. Select the items in “Course catalogue” as described in the tables below.
4. Click “Search.”
